All About The Experience
Three members of the Ottawa Fury FC U20 Academy earned the opportunity to be part of the club's inaugural NASL Training Camp. From left, forward Thierry Foucher Lemay, goalkeeper Nicholas Jeffs and midfielder Mitchell O'Brien were all smiles on Friday following the first week of training camp where the trio gained experience training with professionals.
"It is hard to not become overwhelmed in a professional environment training alongside professional players, but they did well," said Fury FC Technical Director Phillip Dos Santos. "We spoke with them before camp and asked them to play hard and train hard. It is important as the days go by that they maintain the rhythm as others will raise their level as camp continues."
"At the end of the day, it is about the experience for these players," Dos Santos added. "We want them to take their experiences back to the U20 level and help their teammates become better."
