Jarun, 30, is a 6’5 central defender that joins Fury FC from Belgian First Division club Charleroi after spending the previous three seasons in the Polish First Division where he featured in 64 matches between Arka Gdynia, Pogon Szczecin and Flota Swinoujscie. Jarun featured in the inaugural season of the NASL in 2011 as a member of FC Tampa Bay (now Tampa Bay Rowdies) playing in their opening 7 matches before returning to Poland. Born in Kuwait City, Kuwait to Palestinian parents, Jarun first dressed for the Palestinian National Team in 2007 in a 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Singapore. Raised in Peachtree City, Georgia, forty minutes south of Atlanta, Jarun developed with Atlanta’s AFC Lightning before playing in the NCAA starting at the University of Memphis and finishing his collegiate career at Dayton University. He was selected in the 2006 USL Draft by the Atlanta Silverbacks and spent two seasons with his hometown club winning his first USL Championship before moving to Canada to feature for the Vancouver Whitecaps where he played alongside Fury FC Assistant Coach Martin Nash capturing his second USL Championship in 2008.
