Hello Fury FC Fans!
My name is Dorothy and I am 8 years old. On Sunday April 28 I went with my daddy to see Ottawa play soccer against Atlanta United 2. It was finally a beautiful, sunny spring day and the Fury FC won the game 2-0, so it was a great time!
When we got to the Stadium at TD Place I took a picture with Eddie Edward, who I remember daddy cheering for during matches over the last few years.
I was hungry so I ate some Gabriel’s Pizza. The cheese pizza slice is my favourite snack at the concessions, although I also like having lemonade when the stand is open and the weather is warmer.
After eating I played in the kids’ zone before the game started. My favourite things to do there are the big slide and jumping in the bouncy castle.
At half time I watched the performance by the fire dancer from the Ottawa Circus School. She hula-hooped with flames on the loops, and did lots of cool tricks. It was very interesting to see, and they even had it showing on the big video screen!
During the second half I got to fist bump with Sparky, the Fury FC’s mascot, when he walked right in front of our seats in the front row. Sparky is always really funny!
After the game my daddy said hi to Coach Nikola Popovic and he was nice to come over and take a picture with me. We also said hi to my favourite player, number 7 Onua Obasi, who played a great match
It was also special to go out onto the stadium field after the game. I like to bring my Ottawa Fury FC flag to each match for the players to autograph and the flag is really filling up with signatures now! I also like to do somersaults and run around on the pitch, which makes me feel energetic and strong.
I would recommend for any kid who likes sports and having fun to go see an Ottawa Fury FC match. Thank you for reading!
