OTTAWA- From the first whistle of the game, Fury FC players were on a mission to secure a place in the playoffs. It was with great energy that Fury FC started the match by pressing very high on the pitch, giving trouble to the young Kansas City team.

Fury FC midfielder, Wal fall, converted a penalty in the 45' minute of play and gave a 1-0 lead just before halftime. The rest of the match was in favor of Fury FC, who played with the advantage of a man for the last 45 minutes of the match. However, Swope Park Rangers stayed in the game and managed to score a goal in the 85 'minute.  It is Ze Pedro who found the back of the net on a volley outside of the box after a Fury defensive miscommunication.

As the match started to look like a draw, it was none other than Kevin Oliveira, a former Swope Park Rangers player, who gave Fury FC the victory with a magnificent goal in the 89th minute of play and propelled the FC Fury in the playoffs.

This will be the first playoff participation in the young history of Fury FC in the USL. 2015 was the last time Fury FC took part in a post season game. The team was at that time evolving in the NASL.

The next match of Fury FC will be at home, Saturday, October 12 at 2pm. This will be the last home game of the regular season.

POST-GAME COMMENTS
Head Coach Nikola Popovic
Over all it was a really good game. We were focus from the very first moment of the game and had maybe just one moment where we lost concentration and it resulted in their goal.
Once again the team as shown a very good culture in terms of belief and showed the core values of that culture by fighting until the end.
This is a very important win and it puts us in a very good situation for the playoffs. We need to keep this winning mentality and keep pushing in order to enter in the playoffs in a very serious way and trying to win every single game.
