In a week’s time, Fury FC will be training in Charlotte ahead of the very first match of the 2018 regular season. But before it gets to that, the club will use its final preseason exhibition match to get ready for what lies ahead. To do so, Fury FC will face off against League1 Ontario’s All-Stars in a friendly match on Friday March 9 (12:45pm) at the Ontario Soccer Centre in Vaughan.

“We’re looking good,” said defender Eddie Edward. “[Head Coach] Nikola’s philosophy is starting to come out in preseason games and everyone is starting to understand their roles and you can see that in the results we’ve been having.”

Indeed, over the past six weeks, the players have been put through their paces, getting test physically and mentally by Fury FC Head Coach Nikola Popovic, all with the aim of establishing a specific, attractive and exciting style of play.

“It’s been a pretty intense five, six weeks of preseason,” said forward Sito Seoane. “The style we’re trying to play is very demanding but I think we’re coming along. We just have to keep believing and improving.”

The League1 Ontario All-Star selection will be led by Peter Pinizzotto, head coach of Woodbridge Strikers, who will be supported by Ilya Orlov, head coach of Alliance United FC, one of the league's new men's sides for 2018.

"Unfortunately not every 2017 All Star was available for selection, including several who have moved on to play at the fully professional level abroad, but we are quite pleased with the quality of our squad on paper," said League1 Ontario Commissioner, Dino Rossi Jr.

The match will be streamed live on the League1 Ontario Livestream.

Fury fans will be able to see their team in person for the first time this season on April 21 when Fury FC hosts North Carolina FC in its 2018 USL Home Opener at TD Place (2:00 p.m.), but must first get through four road games to kick off the season, the first of which taking place on March 17 in Charlotte.
